Making filmmaking accessible.
We are on a mission to broaden access to filmmaking and screen acting for all young people.

Reels Up deliver projects that put young people at the helm of explorative, purpose-driven film productions.
Young people learn about writing their own screenplays, then each take on their own role to bring one of their films into production.
The projects are empirical; empowering young people to access filmmaking, screenwriting and acting to explore themes of identity, place, community and culture. Film is their megaphone.

Reels Up strives to build access for young people who may otherwise not have the opportunities and resources to explore filmmaking - for fun or as a prospective career.
Reels Up is a unique, inspiring accompaniment or part-alternative to formal education. To young people struggling with mainsream engagement and attendance, it offers a platform for self-led collaboration, creativity and expression. Reels Up is a space where young people feel trusted, safe and responsible for their own story.
Young creatives build a sense of ownership over the film production process; fuelling a confidence to aspire towards a career in the creative industries. Creatives are encouraged to create work that explores identity, place, community and culture.
What their story is - and how they tell it - is in their hands.
